Salado outhit Thrall 11 to three, winning 5-1 in the third game of pool play March 4 in the Franklin Tournament.

Meagan Hill got the win on the mound for Salado, pitching all seven innings. She struck out 13 batters, allowed three hits and one earned run. She walked one batter.

Salado took the early lead when Malory Schattle singled to lead off the bottom of the first. She went to third on a single by Jenna Calder and scored on a single by Rebecca Dockray.

Thrall tied the game in the second inning. Chelsea Seggern doubled and scored on a triple by Ashley Porter.

Salado retook the lead in the fifth and never looked back. Stephanie Mancilla singled and stole second, scoring on a triple by Malory Schattle. Madeline Murray knocked in Schattle.

Bailey Tindell singled in the sixth, followed by a single from Abbie James. With two outs on the board, Schattle walked and Jenna Calder walked to push a runner across home. Rebecca Dockray singled to score James before the final out was recorded by Thrall.
