Salado Lady Eagles beat the Cameron Lady Yoe in a three straight sets, battling back and forth in the first two and running away in the third set.
In the first set, the Lady Eagles came from a six point deficit 17-23 to win 26-24 with Cheyenne Vaca scoring two kills on a five-point service by Taylor Atwood that included two aces. Vaca also killed the Lady Yoe’s chances to put the game away, forcing a 24-24 tie before Meagan Hill scored the final two points on her serve, including a final ace to end the set.
The squads tied seven times in the first set before it looked as if the Lady Yoe would pull away, but Taylor Atwood had back-to-back aces, followed by Jaylee Sebek blocking a shot and Cheyenne Vaca back-to-back kills to knot the score at 23-23.
Vaca got another kill to tie the game again at 24-24 and give Hill the serve. Sebek and Sydney Wright combined on a block and Hill aced the game with her serve, 26-24.

Set 2
Back to back aces by Vaca gave Salado a come from behind win in the second set against Cameron, secured by a smart kill by Shyenne Hicks for the final point as the Lady Eagles came from a three-point deficit of 19-22 to win 25-23.
Cameron rattled off four quick service points at the start of the second set before Salado was able to force the first tie at 8-8. Hill had two straight aces to give Salado a 9-13 lead, but the Lady Yoe refused to go away, tying the score at 16-16 and taking a 22-19 lead. Salado fought back to tie the game at 23-23 and Vaca scored back to back aces and a third service point on a kill by Shyenne Hicks for the 25-23 win.
Set 3
After a tie at 1-1, Salado Lady Eagles never relinquished their lead in the 25-19 third set to win the match in three sets at SHS gym tonight.
The girls led by as much as 8 points in the third 21-13 and won the set and match on a kill by Sydney Wright.
