Salado Lady Eagles are 18-5 following a three-set win over the Jarrell Lady Cougars last week.
The girls beat Jarrell 25-16, 25-12 and 25-19.
The Lady Eagles had six aces at the service line, lead by Kierstan Osborn and Meagan Hill, who each had two aces. Malory Schattle and Amy Coleman both had an ace.
Cheyenne Vaca attacked the net relentlessly for the Lady Eagles with 11 kills. The Lady Eagles had 33 kills, including nine from Tori Dekay and five from Schattle. Payton Dreitz had four and Brianna Washington and Hill each had two kills.
Vaca also led the girls defensively at the net with 3.5 blocks. The team had 8.5 blocks overall. Schattle had 2 blocks, Washington had 1.5 blocks, Dekay had 1 block and Dreitz had 0.5 blocks.
Schattle led the girls with 18 digs on defense followed by Hill with 10 digs. Also recording digs for Salado were Osborn, nine, Kerrigan Hearne, eight, Vaca, seven, Lindy Martin, four, Washington and Dekay, two and Coleman, one.
Hill set the ball 27 times, while Hearne and Osborn had two sets each and Schattle had one set.
