Salado Lady Eagles sit atop district, going into their contest with the state-ranked Burnet Lady Bulldogs this week, after sweeping Taylor, Lampasas and Liberty Hill.

Salado Lady Eagles scored 13 aces as they handled the Lampasas Lady Badgers in quick order, winning 25-18, 25-14 and 25-16 on the road Sept. 29.
Meagan Hill led the squad with 6 aces at the service line. Malory Schattle followed with 5 and Cheyenne Vaca and Kierstan Osborn each had an ace.
Vaca led the team with 11 kills offensively, followed by 8 kills by Tori Dekay. The girls had 32 kills altogether. Schattle had 7, Brianna Washington had 4, Payton Dreitz had 2 and Lindy Martin had 1 kill.
Defensively, Schattle had 2 blocks, while Washington, Hill and Dreitz each had a block.
Kerrigan Hearne led the girls with 14 digs, followed by Vaca, who had 13. Also recording digs were Hill and Osborn, 8 each, Dekay, 6 digs, Schattle, 5 digs, Martin, 3 digs and Washington, 2 digs.
Hill had 31 assists and Osborn had 1 assist.

Salado beat Liberty Hill in straight sets Oct. 2 at home to improve to 3-0 in district play last week.
The girls had 7 aces, led by Cheyenne Vaca, who had 4. Kierstan Osborn, Malory Schattle and Meagan Hill each had 1 ace.
Vaca led the team in kills as well, scoring 16. Also scoring kills were Schattle, 8, Tori Dekay, 4, Payton Dreitz, 2 and Brianna Washington and Hill, 1 kill each.
Schattle led the defense with 6 blocks while Dekay had 2 blocks.
Hill had 17 digs to lead the defense, followed by Kerrigan Hearne and Vaca with 11 digs each. Also recording digs were Osborn, 8, Lindy Martin, 7, Schattle, 5, Dekay, 4, Washington, 2 and Dreitz, 1.
Hill had 31 assists and Osborn had 1.
