Lee Roy McGregor, 85, of Holland passed away at his home on August 20, 2013.
A visitation will be held at Heartfield Funeral Home on Thursday August 22, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 with a service to be held at the Heartfield Funeral Home chapel on Friday August 23, 2013 at 10:00 with burial to follow at the Salado Cemetery. Pastor Randy Evans will be officiating.
Lee Roy was born to James Edward and Jodie (Raborn) McGregor on October 1, 1927 in Waurika, OK. He married Jeanelle Williams on November 26, 2005. He worked at National Cylinder Gas Supplies from 1951-1970 and then co-owned and operated Welders Supply Co of Belton from 1971 until his retirement in 1997. He also served in the US Army during World War II. Lee Roy was a life member of the VFW Post #4008 in Belton.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie; parents; half brother JD Henson; brothers Jesse Arlie McGregor, Hollis McGregor, Aaron Ray McGregor, Clifford McGregor; and sisters Hazel Arundale, Helen Jenkins and Ruth Eileen Bennett.
He is survived by his wife Jeanelle of Holland; sons Gary Lee McGregor of Salado, James Lynn McGregor of Temple, and Larry Wayne McGregor of Salado; son by marriage Rusty Edwards of Little River; daughters Cynthia Ann Fisher of Salado, and Rebecca Jean Woodham of Scurry; daughter by marriage Julie Kovar of Belton; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Lee Roy’s name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holland building fund.
