Robert Leffel graveside service held Nov. 19
Robert R. Leffel, 62, a retired educator, passed away in Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth on Nov. 13, 2005, with bis family at his bedside. He and his wife Rutha lived for many years in Salado.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Nov. 19, at Salado Cemetery with Dale Gore officiating, under the direction of Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple. The family will receive friends at the home following the service.
Robert Leffel was born on December 6, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated in 1960 from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Texas State University, and a doctorate of education from Texas A&M University in 1988.
He was a teacher and administrator for Arlington, Dallas, Lewisville, Pecos and Round Rock Independent School Districts, Texas State Technical lnstitule in Waco and Central Texas College-Fort Hood Campus. He also worked for the Texas Education Agency and taught several courses on U.S. Navy ships in the Pacific fleet.
His friends and lo\ed ones will remember his dedication to Rotary, his community, and his students.
Leffel was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leffel, Jr.
Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Rutha Corder Leffel of Salado; his mother, Lucille Leffel, of Killeen; son, Robert R. Leffel and daughter-in-law, Alicia Leffel, of Keller; grandson, Conner Leffel; and granddaughter Caitlin Leffel.
