TxDOT moves closure date back to Oct. 23
SALADO – I-35 northbound mainlanes will be closed to all traffic through Salado on Thursday, October 23, from 7 PM – 7 AM, to allow crews to set beams for the new southbound mainlane bridge over Salado Creek (working from the northbound side of the highway) and to complete a section of temporary pavement on the northbound mainlanes.
The NBML’s will be closed to allow for Detour M to be restriped, barrier set, and opened to traffic as well as set panels in the middle spans of the Salado Creek Bridge.
During the closure:I-35 north bound – traffic will exit to the NBFR South of FM 2268 and will remain in this configuration until just North of Main St.I-35 south bound– will not be changed.North bound frontage road will not be changedSouthbound frontage road will not be changedFM 2268, and Thomas Arnold – EB traffic will have to travel North on the NBFR to Main Street to cross IH 35. WB traffic will have to travel South on the SBFR to FM 2115 to cross IH 35.
FM 2484, South Main Street, and North Main Street – traffic will not be changed.
