Texas Department of Transportation has announced three nights of mainlane closings through Salado beginning on May 17 and continuing through May 18.
SALADO – All I-35 southbound mainlanes will be closed through Salado on Sunday, May 17 from 10 PM – 7 AM and on Monday, May 18 from 7 PM – 7 AM, to allow crews to work in the median area. All southbound traffic will exit at #286 (FM 2484) and reenter I-35 just south of N. Main St./FM 2268 See Map #1.
The FM 2484 bridge will be closed to crossing traffic and the westbound North Main Street crossing will also be closed, in order to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic. Eastbound traffic on FM 2484 will be detoured to Williams Road to the southbound frontage road and cross at Thomas Arnold Road. Westbound traffic on FM 2484 and North Main Street will go north on the frontage road and turn around at Amity Road. All I-35 northbound mainlanes will be closed through Salado on Tuesday, May 19 from 7 PM – 7 AM, to allow crews to work in the median area. All northbound traffic will exit at #285 (N. Main St./FM 2268) and reenter I-35 just north of FM 2484. See Map #2.
The FM 2484 bridge and the N. Main St. crossing will again be closed to all traffic. Eastbound traffic on FM 2484 will be detoured south on the southbound frontage road and cross at Thomas Arnold Road. Westbound traffic on FM 2484 and North Main Street will go north on the frontage road and turn around at Amity Road.
