Marilyn Revely Brewer

Memorial services for Marilyn Reveley Brewer, 64, of Salado were held Dec. 10 at Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kathy Vineyard officiating. Private burial will be in Salado Cemetery. 

Brewer died December 6, 2011 in The Meridian Health Care Center. 

Shewas born on January 30, 1947 to Evelyn Woeltz Reveley and Hugh Reveley in San Antonio, Texas. 

She graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville. She earned a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BSN degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton. 

In 1973 she married the love of her life, Luther M. Brewer. She became stepmother to Chris, Nancy and Tim Brewer. 

She volunteered with various organizations from college days throughout her married life including Meals on Wheels, Scott and White Hospital Auxiliary, League of Women Voters, and Reach to Recovery. She had been a member of Grace Presbyterian Church for 38 years. 

Survivors include her husband Luther Brewer, M.D. of Salado, her mother Evelyn Reveley of Temple, her brother Michael Reveley of England; step daughter Nancy Flores of Houston, stepsons Tim Brewer of Beaumont and Chris Brewer of England; two nephews Colin Reveley and Tom Reveley both of England and eight grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, 100 Witherspoon Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202, Scott and White Children’s Hospital, Temple, Texas or to Greater Yellowstone Coalition, P.O. Box 1874 Bozeman, MT 59771.
