Mary Jane Dulin Taylor
Mary Jane Dulin Taylor passed away November 18, 2011 with her two daughters by her side.
Born in West Virginia in 1923, Mary Jane and her husband Carl were residents of Salado from 1975 until moving to San Antonio in 1993.
Mary Jane was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II; she met Carl while both were stationed in California. They married in 1946 and enjoyed being a military family until Carl retired from the Air Force in 1970.
Mary Jane was a member of the Episcopal Church and an active member of the Salado community, participating in the Salado Art Festival, the Institute for the Humanities and assisting with the founding of the Salado Library.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Dulin Crawford of Baltimore, Md.; daughters Cheryl Taylor of Brownsville, Cynthia Taylor Nauert and son-in-law Dr. T. Craig Nauert of Memphis, and grandsons Austin and Travis.
A memorial service to honor Mary Jane will be conducted by Father Tim Vellom at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27 in the historic Salado Methodist Church on Royal Street.
