Schattle led the Lady Eagles at the plate, going three-for-three, knocking in a run and scoring two runs herself.
Salado scored six runs after Taylor recorded two outs in the first. Payton Dreitz and Schattle singled and Dockray hit into a fielder’s choice that put Dreitz out at third. Martin singled, scoring Schattle and Madeline Murray hit the ball to deep left, and a fielding error allowed Dockray and Martin to cross home plate. Jenna Calder walked and Bailey Tindell hit a double to deep center to plate both runners. Stephanie Mancilla laid down a bunt along the third base line and a bad throw to first let her reach base and Tindell to round third and go home.
The Lady Eagles added two more in the second. Dreitz led off with a single and Schattle hit a two-bagger to left to put Dreitz on third. Dockray hit a sacrifice fly to score Dreitz. Schattle reached home on a double by Murray before the Taylor defense could get out of the frame.
