Nancy Light Rogers
Nancy Light Rogers, age 77, of Coppell and formerly of Salado, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home.
Born March 30, 1938, she was the daughter of Felix Irvin Sanders and Harvie Victoria Burns Sanders.
She grew up and graduated high school at Belton.
She operated clothing and furniture stores in Salado for a number of years, including Main Street Place. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Neal Light, she is survived by her husband Kenneth Rogers of Coppell; sons, Steve Light of Plano and Scott Light and wife Rebecca of Hurst; daughter Leslie Billings and husband Thomas of Dallas; step daughters Beth Conner and husband Bill of Dallas, Paula Orr and husband Scott of Coppell; step-son Bart Rogers and wife Lisa of Coppell; brother Harvey Sanders of Irving; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Light Boehmer, Corbin Light, Carah Light Vallejo, Preston Light, Kyle Light, Victoria Billings and Philip Billings; six step grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Visitation followed by the funeral was June 16 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home in Irving. The funeral at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service was held June 16 at the Salado Church of Christ. She was buried at Salado Cemetery.
