Nell Rose Anderson

Nell Rose Anderson, age 94, of Salado, passed away on January 22, 2021 in Georgetown, Texas.

She was born on November 29, 1926 in Lubbock, Texas to Otis Herman Horton and Ettie Lee (Clements) Horton. 

Nell graduated from Sundeen High School and attended Texas Tech University and the University of Corpus Christi. She married Mark W. Anderson in 1970. 

Nell had a career in accounting and real estate in Corpus Christi and Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Salado and was accomplished pianist and baker.

Those left behind to cherish Nell’s memory include her daughter, Patricia Trujillo and husband Richard; her son, Reginald Clark; and her former daughter-in-law, Donna C. Berry. 

She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was the beloved grandmother to Ashley Caggiano, MD and her spouse, Thomas Caggiano, MD, Chelsea Matthews and her spouse, David Matthews, Jr., Evan Clark and his spouse, Autumn Clark, Haley Jones and spouse, Quinn Jones, Sean Clark and Corey Clark; and to her great-grandchildren, Lucas Caggiano, Cecilia Caggiano, Scarlett Caggiano, Lilly Matthews, Evalyn Matthews and Silas Clark.

Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Mark W. Anderson and her sister, LaVelle Fletcher.

A memorial service celebrating Nell’s life will be held at a later date at First Baptist Church in Salado.
