Norris Elmer Pedigo, a retired petroleum engineer died on Oct. 26,2008.
He was 80 years of age and lived in Kingwood, Texas. He was born in Bell Co. Texas on July 20, 1928 to George and Eula Pedigo, both of whom have predeceased him. He grew up in the farming community of Prairie Dell, Texas and finished high school in Salado, Texas in 1946. After three years in the U.S. Air Force he started college at S. W. Texas State College ( now Texas State University) earning his M.Ed. degree in math and physics in 1953. He was employed that year by Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America and stayed with that company over 37 years until he retired in 1991 as Regional Manager of reservoir engineering. After retirement he went into real estate with Marylou Robins, head of Robins Realtors. Mrs. Robins has also been a wonderful friend and mentor. He considers her and her family, Lee Sharp, Owen Robins, and Elise Robins, as his extended family.
Mr. Pedigo, a registered Profession Engineer in the state of Texas, is a member of the Air Force Association, the American Gas Association, the American Legion, the Houston Association of Realtors, and a lifetime member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
On September 2nd, 1950 he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Ellen Turner who predeceased him in November, 1977. This marriage produced three children all of whom survive. They and their spouses are: son George (Buddy) Pedigo and wife Connie of Granbury, Texas, Jean Pedigo Snoke and husband Ray of Newago, Michigan, and Kathleen Pedigo Stoddard and husband Mike, of Minnesota.
Also surviving are five grandsons: Cade Pedigo and wife Sunny and daughter Holland, of Burleson, Texas, Zachary Pedigo of Graham, Colo., Thomas Snoke of Newago Michigan, and Doug and Ben Stoddard of Fort Bend, Colorado.
Three brothers, and four sisters predeceased Mr. Pedigo. A large number of nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends also survive him.
