To the Editor:
Claire Hartman, at the BOA meeting 3/3/16, said it’s easy to stand up before the board and criticize.
I disagree….the most frightening thing of all, is to speak in public, and to speak critically is even more difficult….what if your criticism is incorrect or misinformed? How embarrassing would I be if I say something that is plain ignorant!
Anyway, the good news is, at the 3/10/16 BOA meeting, I just asked for information.
And, since I read in the law that it is perfectly acceptable for our village manager or our mayor or our mayor pro-tem to answer a question of fact, I had hopes.
Regarding Billy Hanks’ letter of January 13 requesting the BOA to “consider and approve the Planned Development zoning request…”, I was hoping Billie Hanks and the sanctuary agreement would be on the agenda last week….but I see the agreements have been removed from the web site.
So, I only had two questions.
1. Do we have the 6 acre deed (as promised by Mr. Hanks) now that the BOA has rezoned parcels A/B/C and D was withdrawn?
2. Do we have the TCEQ Permit (Mr Hanks promised) so we can begin the amending process that may cost $10,000?
We are spending $600 plus a day in interest…over $100,000 at the half year.
Probably all the village residents need are two YES answers about the 6 acres and the permit so we can see the light at the end of the sewer tunnel.
Thank you
Linda Reynolds
