One person was killed and seven others were injured in a two-vehicle accident this morning at FM 2843 near Kuykendall Road southwest of Salado.

The accident was evidently caused by a Nissan Pathfinder was driving on the wrong side of the road in a no passing zone. A red Expedition, trying to avoid the oncoming Pathfinder swerved and lost control, ultimately rolling over.

Two others were airflighted to Scott & White Hospital and five other occupants in the Expedition were transported to Scott & White Hospital.
