Salado’s Pocket Music Series will continue on May 14 with music at Barrow Brewing Company on Royal Street and at the 1860 Shop located at 33 N. Main St.
The warm weather entertainment series will run through September with music on the second Saturday of the month. The Pocket Music Series will provide visitors with a rich setting in which to enjoy the sights, shop, eat or just stroll in the unique and quaint Village amongst the many varied establishments,” said Mary Poché, executive director of the Salado Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, which is co-hosting the monthly event with local business partners.
Whit Kinslow will perform noon-2 p.m. on May 14 at Barrow Brewing Company, 108 Royal Street.
Johnny Reynolds will follow at 2-4 p.m. at Barrow Brewing Company.
Joe Berg will perform noon – 2 p.m. at the 1860 Shop, which is housed in what was a one-day saloon in Salado dating back to the 1860s. The performance will be held on the covered deck on the north side of the Main Street property.
Rebecca Huck will perform there from 2:30 until 4 p.m. Rebecca Huck began playing accordion approximately 10 years ago and has a repertoire of over 2,000 songs. She is proud of her German and Czech heritage and speaks fluent German. Rebecca plays music from all over the world to include Tyrolean, German, Czech, French, Country, Zydeco, Latin, Tango, Americana, Blues, Rock and Classical. She began playing keyboard at age two and also plays marimba, keyboard, and xylophone. Rebecca wrote her first polka and is producing her own CDs. Rebecca has studied music under Debra Peters of Austin and Maestro Mario Pedone of Sugarland, Texas.
