Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died, March 21, 2009 from a gunshot wound.
Private First Class Jarvis Galloway, 20, of Saint Charles, Missouri, was shot by a Killeen Police Officer while attempting to flee the scene of an incident.
Galloway was involved in an altercation that turned physical at the Starlight Dance Station in Killeen. Pfc. Galloway was transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by an emergency room doctor.
Galloway entered the military September 2007 as a Shower/Laundry and Clothing Repair Specialist and was assigned to the 157th Quartermaster Company, 15th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command since
February 2008.
Pfc. Galloway’s decorations and awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Medal.
