Sanctuary annexation hearings follow P&Z hearings
The Village of Salado Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct public hearings at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 12 at the Village of Salado Municipal Building to discuss and consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance for The Sanctuary development.
The hearings will be conducted for the various properties that will be part of The Sanctuary.
The P&Z will hold a public hearing and consider zoning and/or rezoning of 55.499+/- acres to PD-MU (Planned Development Mixed Use), generally located at the northeast corner of FM 2268 and I-35 frontage road (map on display at city hall – Area A).
The P&Z will hold a public hearing and consider zoning of 211.587 +/- acres to PD-MU (Planned Development Mixed Use), generally located at the corner of Salado Oaks Drive and FM 2268, and the 700 block of Royal Street Drive, just east of Rose Way Circle (map on display at city hall – Area B).
The P&Z will hold a public hearing and consider zoning of 57.985+/-acres to PD-C (Planned Development Commercial), generally located at the southeast corner of FM 2268 and I-35 frontage road (map on display at city hall – Area C).
Finally, the P&Z will hold a public hearing and consider rezoning of 3.12+/-acres from HD (Historical District) to PD-C (Planned Development Commercial), generally located at 714 South Main Street (map on display at city hall – Area D).
Information regarding possible amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is on file for public examination in the City Secretary’s Office.
Items recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission will be forwarded to the Board of Aldermen for consideration and approval at its meeting 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Village of Salado Municipal Building.
The board of aldermen will also conduct public hearings concerning the annexation of more than 300 acres of land for The Sanctuary on at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 and Jan. 21.
