Salado – Services for Ralph Martone Jr., 83, of Salado, will be private.   

Ralph died January 2, 2013 in a Temple nursing care facility.  He was born in Shelton, Connecticut to Ralph Martone and Sarah Brown February 14, 1929.

While in high school, Ralph’s parents moved to Dade County, Fl. where he subsequently enlisted in the US Army.  He spent 5 years in the service and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before his discharge.

Ralph was a mechanical contractor most of his life.

On March 19, 1979, he married Karleen Campbell in Sylva, N.C.  They lived in Florida for most of their lives before moving to Salado.

Ralph was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree. 

They were members of the Cedar Valley Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son Daniel.  He is survived by his wife, son Johnnie Martone, 1 brother and 1 sister.  He has 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 7 great grandchildren.
