Roy Wayne “Bo” Jackson
Memorial services for Roy Wayne “Bo” Jackson, 81, of Salado were held May 30, 2015, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Rev. Kenneth James officiating.
The family received friends for visitation at the Dossman Funeral Home.
Jackson died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in a Harker Heights Nursing Home.
Jackson was born November 18, 1933 in Waurika, Oklahoma, the son of Hollie Alto Jackson and Frances Geneva (Emery) Jackson. He married Frances McDaniel July 11, 1953 in Columbus.
He was a graduate of Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos. He was a teacher and a coach. He taught at Agua Dulce High School, Magnolia High School, Killeen High School and Killeen Ellison High School. He retired in 1997. During retirement he coached golf at Salado and Belton High School.
He was a member of the Southwest Lettermans Association and Texas High School Coaches Association.
Survivors include his wife Frances Jackson of Salado; two sons Kevin Wayne Jackson and wife Angi of Copperas Cove and Jim Bob Jackson and wife Lori of Magnolia; one daughter Lisa Gayle Dillon and husband Alan of Salado; two brothers Forrest Franklin “Jim” Jackson of Andrews and Bobby Lyle Jackson and wife Bettie of Spicewood; four grandchildren Shelly Combs and husband Tim, Kimberly Rogers and husband Jerad, Kaley Jackson and Cade Jackson and four great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Roy Jackson’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the charity of your choice.
