Eagles go 2-2 in Uvalde Tournament
Justin Tatum named to All Tournament Team
Salado Eagles competed in the Uvalde Tournament Dec. 28-29. The Eagles went 2-2 in the tournament and Justin Tatum was named to the All Tournament Team.

CC Moody 61
Salado Eagles lost to Corpus Christi Moody 49-61 in the first game of the Uvadle Tournament on Dec. 28.
The Eagles trailed Corpus Christi Moody 11-14 in the first quarter and 24-31 in the first half. Salado was outscored 25-30 in the second half for a loss.
Preston Rosebrock led Salado in scoring with 20 points. He was followed in scoring by Justin Tatum, 11 points.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Evan Wall and Trevor Stump, 5 points each, Peyton Kyburz, 4 points, Willie Whigham and Luke Miller, 2 points each.

Brooks Academy 27
Salado Eagles rebounded from a loss to Corpus Christi Moody to dominate Brooks Academy in game 2 of the Uvalde Tournament on Dec. 28.
The Eagles took a 19-14 first quarter lead and outscored Brooks Academy 14-3 in the second quarter for a 33-17 halftime lead. Salado held Brook Academy to 10 points in the second half for a 67-27 win.
Three Eagles reached double figures in scoring, led by Tatum with 20 points.
Rosebrock scored 16 points and Kyburz scored 12.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Stump, 8 points, Wall, 7 points, Miller and Anthony Young, 2 points each.
Salado Eagles 48
Uvalde 58
Salado Eagles were beaten 48-58 by host Uvalde in their third game of the Uvalde tournament Dec. 29.
The Eagles fell behind 9-13 in the first quarter and scored 21 points in the second quarter for a 30-26 halftime lead. Salado was outscored 18-32 in the second half for a 48-58 loss.
Tatum led Salado in scoring with 19 points. Followed by Young, 9 points, Wall, 8 points.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Whigham, 4 points, Kyburz and Rosebrock, 3 points each and Stump, 2 points.
Salado Eagles 69
Poteet 45
Salado Eagles finished their fourth and final game of the Uvalde Tournament with a 69-45 win over Poteet Dec. 29.
Salado Eagles trailed Poteet 12-20 in the first quarter and scored 12 points in the second to enter the half trailing 23-32. Salado took the lead in the third quarter outscoring Poteet 21-6 for a 44-38 lead going into the fourth. The Eagles secured the win by outscoring Poteet 25-7 in the fourth quarter for a 69-45 final.
Stump led Salado in scoring with 25 points. Followed by Rosebrock scoring 10 points.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Tatum, 9 points, Whigham, 8 points, Kyburz, 7 points, Miller and Wall, 3 points each.
