Salado Eagles shut out three opponents to win their own Eagle Classic soccer tournament Jan. 21-23 at Eagle Field.
The Eagles beat Pampa 3-0 in the first round, Wimberly 4-0 in the second round and Giddings 2-0 in the championship round.

Costas Loullis scored two goals in the win over Pampas with assists from John Dawson and Armando Castillo. Forward Manuel Magadan scored on an assist from Jack Spradlin. Trey Sheppard defended the goal with five saves.
Right fielder John Dawson scored two goals against Wimberly, getting assists from Costas Loullis and Camden LaCanne. Loullis scored a goal and Alex Carmona scored a goal. Trey Sheppard had five saves in the match.
John Dawson scored a goal in the Giddings win, with an assist from Scout Pucket. Camden LaCanne scored a goal on a penalty kick. Trey Shappard had five saves in the match.
“It is rewarding to win our home tournament, and the response from the crowd was really motivational to the players,” Coach Michael Goos said. “This is a great way to start the season.”
With the wins, Salado improves to 6-3 on the season. They travel to Gonzales for a 6 p.m. match on Jan. 29.
