Salado FFA students participated in the Southwest Livestock Show during the Fort Worth Stock Show an Rodeo. Events take place from Jan. 15 – Feb. 6.
Lochie Hosch, agricultural science teacher at Salado High School remarked “While some walked away with numerous ribbons all of them represented our community and school district with the highest of standards in sportsmanship and showmanship skills.”
Results from the specific classes are:
Junior Heifer Show
Stuart Lastovica – Champion Summer Calf Division, 1st place in Class, 2nd in Showmanship
Kaydee Free – Reserve Champion Summer Calf Division, 2nd place in class, Crowned Miss Texas Angus Queen.
Cooper Free – 10th place in Class
Chase Harwell – exhibitor Chianina heifer
Open Gilt Show
Colton Dockray – 2nd place Chester White Gilt, exhibitor Duroc Gilt
Kylar Combs – exhibitor Crossbred Gilt
Brazos Farr -exhibitor Spot Gilt.
Open Breeding Ewe Show
Bailee Barrett – Champion Delaine Merino Ewe, 1st place Yearling Ewe and 4th place Yearling Ewe
Aspen Robert – Reserve Champion Rambouillet Ewe, 1st place Yearling Ewe, 2nd place Yearling Ewe, 3rd place Ewe Lamb.
