The Salado Historical Society will host its annual Pot Luck Supper at 6 p.m. on March 7 in the Salado Church of Christ Activities Center, 217 North Stagecoach Road.
The guest speaker will be Beverly Hadley, the new Executive Director of the Bell County Museum.
Hadley, a native Texan, recently moved to Central Texas from Fredericksburg, where she was the Executive Director of the Gillespie County Historical Society. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum in Cuero, Texas. She has extensive administrative experience in nonprofit, educational, and museum settings. She has developed museum programing, education and curatorial programs, as well as worked with and for nonprofit entities.
Her knowledge of the history of the Chisholm Trail and her leadership experience will be an asset to Bell County Museum.
The program will feature a recap of the Salado Historical Society year, and a report on future plans of the organization. The Salado Historical Society Person of the Year will be announced.
The Spring Pot Luck Supper is an annual event of the Salado Historical Society. Anyone who is interested in Texas history, Salado history, or just plain history is invited to the free event.
