JC Clay and Rebecca Gonzales were crowned as the 2016 Salado High School Homecoming King and Queen during ceremonies at Salado Eagle Field Sept. 24. After the Homecoming crowning, the Salado Eagles went on to beat St. Dominic Catholic High School 42-17.

Victoria DeKay and Trevor Stump
Victoria is the daughter of Bryon and Deanna DeKay, and was escorted by father Bryan. Victoria is a member of the varsity volleyball team, Salado Youth Leadership Club, and ASTRA. In her spare time, Victoria enjoys hanging out with friends, going to concerts, and playing with Sparke. Upon graduation she will attend Texas State University and study to become a speech language pathologist. Trevor is the son of James Stump, and Jennifer Brasher. Trevor is a member of the varsity football, basketball, and soccer teams. Outside of school, Trevor enjoys hanging out with friends, hacky sack, and listening to music. Trevor is undecided on which college he will attend next fall, but plans on pursuing a business degree.
Becca Gonzales and Luke Markham
Becca the daughter of John and Barbara Gonzales, was escorted by her father John. Becca is the SHS band’s drum major, captain of the cross country team, member of the varsity soccer team, VP of National Honor Society, President of Salado Student Council, and is involved with ASTRA community service. When she is not busy with these things, her hobbies include running, playing with puppies, and hanging out with Brittany and friends. Next fall, She plans to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio, and major in psychology. Luke is the son of Keith and Caroline Markham. He is a member of the Cross Country team, Varsity soccer team, Student Council, and Student Senate. In his spare time, Luke enjoys hunting, paper chasing, making memes, and hacky sack. He will attend Texas Tech University next year, and major in Archaeology.
Sarah Kate Kelarek and Jake Harvey
Sarah Kate is the daughter of Kenny and Jennifer Kelarek. She will be escorted by her father Kenny. Sarah Kate is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity basketball and track teams, a member of First Baptist Church Salado. She is the reigning Salado and Bell County Miss Flame. In her spare time, Sarah Kate works at Frosti Cones, and enjoys hanging out with friends and shopping at Lulu Lemon. She will attend Texas State University next year to pursue a career in nursing. Jake is the son son of Michael and Cassie Harvey. Jake is a member of the varsity football, baseball, and track teams. Some of Jakes hobbies include street basketball, snowboarding, duck hunting, quickscoping some noobs on call of duty, and making his brother Tate mad. Jake will attend college next year, but is currently undecided.
Peyton Randolph and Parker Seaton
Peyton is the daughter of Stacy Randolph and Mark Brown, and was escorted by her step dad Mark Brown. Peyton is the Varsity cheer captain, athletic trainer, and a member of the National Honor Society and Pi Kappa Theta Honor Society. She is also a physical therapy aide at St. Davids Pediatric hospital, and a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Baylor S&W rehabilitation clinic. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, family, and her boyfriend Tyler. She also enjoys shopping and getting her nails done. Peyton will graduate early this December with an Associates degree through the Texas Bioscience Institute. She will attend Texas State University this spring and major in exercise and sports science. Her ultimate goal is to obtain her doctorate in physical therapy at Texas State University, and become a pediatric physical therapist. Parker is the son of Chris and Terri Seaton. Parker is a member of the varsity football and baseball teams, and a member of the national honor society, Mu Alpha Theta math society, ASTRA, student council and student senate. He is also a member of St. Stephen catholic church. Parker’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, hacky sack, and hanging out with friends. Parker plans on attending either the U.S. Air Force Academy or Texas Tech University next fall, and pursue a degree in petroleum engineering.
Brittany Vrooman and JC Clay
Brittany is the daughter of Julia and Jessie Vrooman, and was escorted by her dad Jessie. Brittany is a member of the student senate, Varsity girls track team, and is currently enrolled in the Texas Bioscience Institute Middle college program. She is also the treasurer of the National Honors society. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys teaching youth at 3C cowboy church, interning at S& W for ovarian cancer research, raising type I diabetes awareness, petting dogs, hang out with Becca & friends, and running late. Brittany will graduate from SHS with an Associates degree and plans on attending Texas A&M University to major in chemistry. Her ultimate goal is to go to medical school and practice either anesthesiology or neurology. JC is the son of Jimmy and Barbara Clay. JC is a member of the varsity football and golf teams, as well as a member of the Salado Marching Band. JC’s hobbies include watching college & professional sports and hanging out with friends. He plans on pursuing a degree in sports management next fall, and is currently undecided on colleges.
Brianna Washington and Bryan Lightfoot
Brianna is the daughter of Marcus and Adrienne Washington. She is a member of the varsity volleyball, basketball and track teams, and participates in ASTRA and the student council. In her spare time, Brianna is involved in community service, singing, drawing, and hanging out with her friends. Upon graduation, Brianna will attend Texas State University, while she runs track and pursues a doctorate in Physical therapy. Bryan is the son of Bryan Lightfoot Sr., and Shelly Rogers. Bryan is a member of the varsity football and track teams, and enjoys time with family, playing golf, and hanging out with his friends. Bryan plans on becoming an Aggie next year, and obtaining a degree in Computer engineering.
