SPC Sarah E. Morris
FORT HOOD, Texas — Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died Aug. 7 2011 from injuries suffered during an automobile accident in Fort Worth, Texas.
Specialist Sarah Elissa Morris, 23, whose home of record is listed as Mansfield, Texas, entered active-duty service in August 2007 as a food service specialist. She was assigned to 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, since February 2010.
Morris deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from October 2008 to October 2009.
Morris’ awards and decorations include an Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
