IHOP® Restaurants is celebrating its 11th annual National Pancake Day®, when participating restaurants will offer each guest dining in one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise $3.5 million for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
National Pancake Day will be 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. March 8. The Temple IHOP® is one of the participating restaurants. Local Shriners will be on hand to greet diners. Diners can make donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at IHOP® that day.
On National Pancake Day, guests dining in participating restaurants can order one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in the hope that they will make a voluntary donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children. To find a local IHOP restaurant or to donate online, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com .
IHOP Restaurants served over 6 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2015 and pancake lovers donated $3.5 million to children’s charities.
All of the free pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2015 would create a stack nearly 19 miles high.
Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP Restaurants have raised $20 million to support charities in the local communities in which they operate.
This year, IHOP has partnered with Snapchat to develop Sponsored Geofilters for customers dining at IHOP on National Pancake Day. Geofilters are fun and engaging location-based art that can be added to photo and video Snaps. Snapchatters will be able to reveal the creative overlays while they’re in-restaurant.
