The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story
The Salado Film Squad reached the state final round of competition of the UIL Focus – Young Filmmakers Festival. Their documentary, “The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story,” will be shown on April 16 at the Paramount Theater in Austin. Final awards will be announced that evening at the premiere.

In the inaugural UIL Focus – Young Filmmakers Festival, 495 films were entered. Salado competed against 59 documentaries in Division 1 (A-AAA).
Films reaching the state final round were in alphabetical order:

- Lampasas HS (3A) One Act Play Documentary
- Lytle HS (3A) The Story of Alamo Village
- Princeton HS (3A) Divorce
- Salado HS (2A) The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story
- Van HS (3A) A Story of Faith
