The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story
The Salado Film Squad won the inaugural state competition of the UIL Focus – Young Filmmakers Festival. Their documentary, “The Heroes at Home: The Untold Story,” was shown on April 16 at the Paramount Theater in Austin. Final awards were announced that evening at the premiere and The Heroes At Home: The Untold Story was the overall winner.

In the inaugural UIL Focus – Young Filmmakers Festival, 495 films were entered. Salado competed against 59 documentaries in Division 1 (A-AAA).
