Specialist Joseph Edward McDonald
Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident April 14. He was pronounced deceased by doctors at 7:59 a.m. April 15 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Specialist Joseph Edward McDonald, 23, whose home of record is listed as Crete, Ill., entered the military in April 2010 as a combat engineer. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 36th Engineer Brigade, since August 2012.
McDonald deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from February 2011 to February 2012.
McDonald’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal.
