The 11th Annual SPJST Car Show and Czech Heritage Celebration is Saturday, May 7, at SPJST Lodge 47, Seaton Star Hall. Star Hall is located at 10842 State Highway 53, which is seven miles east of Temple in the community of Seaton. The event is open to the public, and no admission will be charged.
Car show registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 10:30 a.m.
Judging begins at 11 a.m., and awards are at 3 p.m.
First, second, and third place trophies will be awarded in 40 independently judged classes. Other awards include top three peopleąs choice, SPJST King’s and Queen’s Choice, club participation, distance, best of show, best paint, best graphics, best interior, and best engine. Registration is $30. The first 150 entries will receive tee-shirts and goodie bags. Online registration is available at www.spjst.org.
A variety of vendor booths will display arts and crafts, services, and auto-related products. A 10-foot by 10-foot inside booth is available for $35; an outside space is $25. Call 254-931-0639 or email lynettet@spjst.com for more information.

Other activities include a children’s fun activity area and a silent auction.
Czech Heritage Museum volunteers will have Czech heritage displays like noodle-making, rope-making, and lace-making. SPJST Education and Nature Center will also have activities. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day.
The Praha Bros. band will play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. SPJST District Two Beseda Dancers will perform at 1 p.m.
The event benefits two 501(c)(3) organizations Czech Heritage Museum located in Temple, and SPJST Education and Nature Center in Ledbetter.
The Museum is dedicated to fostering educational, cultural, and genealogical opportunities, specifically as it pertains to people of Czech heritage.
The Education and Nature Center provides summer camps for youth and programs for schools and other groups throughout the year. It is also a venue for community activities and programs and wildlife conservation demonstrations and education.
