SSG Steve Lancelot Watson
FORT HOOD, Texas- Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died July 26 2011. He was found unresponsive in his barracks room here.
Staff Sergeant Steve Lancelot Watson, 58, whose home of record is listed as Riverside, Calif., entered active-duty service in July 1971. Watson served as an infantryman but was currently assigned as a battalion medical noncommissioned officer. Since May 2009, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, Warrior Transition Brigade, here.
Watson deployed in support of Desert Storm/Desert Shield in May 1992 and Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2006 to November 2006.
Watson’s awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
