Susan E. Stockton
Susan E. Stockton, age 64 of Salado and formerly of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her son’s residence in Flushing, Michigan.
A graveside celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Salado Cemetery in Salado, Texas.
Susan was born July 9, 1941 in Santa Monica, California.
Susan had a talent that amazed all that knew her. Her artwork and creations touched the lives of us all. Her successful businesses, The Finishing Touch in Arlington and Sir Wigglesworth in Salado, were examples of her extraordinary ability to bring beauty out of ordinary objects. Her works have touched the lives of all those who have witnessed them, and was truly a gift she loved and shared.
She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Stockton, Jr., an infant child and sister Joy. She is survived by her sons Cary Hayes, of Oregon and formerly of Salado, Randall Hayes, of California, and John R. Stockton Ill and wife Susan, of Michigan; sister Sally Bateman and husband Warren, of California, and a cousin Jean Carle. She also leaves several very special grandchildren, Elizabeth Alexandria, Randall and Garret of California and John William (-BJ”) and JoAnna, all of Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Special friends include Gwen Dalton, Tttia Arledge, Karen Powell, Miriam Smith, Carolyn Dachs as well as many, many others.
She is now in the hands of her Heavenly Father and designing in a whole new way.
