Services held for D.L. Sutton
D.L. Sutton, 69, of Salado, passed away Nov. 12, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Nov. 16 at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton, with Rev. Joe Bentley officiating. Burial followed in Salado Cemetery.
He was born to Claude and Lesta Cockrell Sut-ton in Salado on Jan. 4, 1935, and graduated from Salado High School in 1953. He served in Europe in the U.S. Army. Sutton married Theresa Palkovits in Mannheim, Germany on May 27, 1959. He was employed as a truck driver with Wilsonart for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Sutton, of Salado; one son, Henry Sutton, of Salado; three daughters, Regina McGregor and husband Larry, of Salado, Mary Ann Neal and husband Billy Fred, of Rogers, and Cathy Anderson and hus-band Phillip, of Belton; mother, Lesta Sutton, of Temple; brother, Elwood Sutton and wife Beverly, of Salado; two sisters, Betty Sue Pinkham and husband Bill of Lyman, SC, and Linda Moore and husband Munroe, of Salado.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Brandon McGregor, of Salado, Chris McGregor, of Morgan’s Point, Jamie McGregor, of Salado, Lindsey Anderson, of Belton, Ashley Anderson, of Belton, and Chuck Hoffman, Chesney Hoff-man, Dustin Hoffman and Megan Hoffman, all of Orlando, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Eric McGregor and Jaci McGregor, both of Salado.
