Southbound I-35 closed from Belton to Salado tonight

I-35 mainlanes closure — I-35 southbound mainlanes will be closed from Tahuaya Road to south of FM 2484. Local drivers are encourages to seek alternate routes.

I-35 Southbound Mainlanes Closed Wednesday night 8/5/15 near Salado

Salado — I-35 southbound mainlanes between Belton and Salado, from Exit #290 (Shanklin Rd.) to Exit #286 (FM 2484) will be closed from 7 pm Wednesday night, August 4th, until 7 am Thursday morning, August 5th. All I-35 southbound traffic will detour to the southbound frontage road, and re-enter the I-35 mainlanes south of FM 2484, as the contractor moves concrete barriers and prepares pavement for an upcoming traffic shift.

Local traffic is encouraged to seek alternate routes. Long delays are expected.

Southbound access bridge closed permanently

TXDOT PIO: Northbound access road will be made two-way from FM 2268 to Thomas Arnold later today

According to TXDOT, the southbound access road (west side of interstate) in Salado south of Thomas Arnold Road is closed until the construction of the new access road and access road bridge over Salado Creek.
