Arts of Salado featured in March 2015 edition of Texas Highways
Texas Highways has published a five-page feature “Creative Country: The Artistic Enclave of Salado” in the pages of its March 2015 edition, which subscribers received last week and which hit the newsstands early this week.
In the feature, writer John Lumpkin highlighted artists such as Ronnie Wells, Larry Prellop, Kay Griffith, Titia Arledge Califano and Gail Allard II.
He also touched on the culinary arts of The Range, Inn on the Creek and Johnny’s Steaks & Bar-Be-Que which hosts live Texas country music concerts on stage at Johnny’s Outback.
With colorful photographs, the “Next Weekend” feature also touches on the Salado Sculpture Garden and the gateway sign being created by Melissa Paxton of Glass River Designs and Johnny Shipman, as well as the upcoming 14th Annual Wildflower Art Show and 2nd Annual Edgy Art Show.
If you aren’t a Texas Highways subscriber, you will want to hurry to pick up your copy from local news stands before they sell out.
