First Cedar Valley Baptist Church will hold its first sale of the year for helping fund Franklin Graham’s, Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child.

“Our church is using the older Church Building to make this possible,” said Linda Jackson.  “The desire of our church is to help the community in whatever needs we can. We have quality items to sell at very low prices. We hope that the surrounding areas will come and support this endeavor.”

Jackson said that the church hopes to send 100 more boxes each year funded in part by the proceeds from the Thrift Store. “We hope to have the thrift store open inside the older church building a couple of weekends each month through December,” Jackson said.

Each box for Operation Christmas Child includes one item of clothing, a small toy, a tooth brush, toothpaste, comb and hairbrush. “It costs $7 to mail each box,” Jackson said, adding “you can see how this sale is very helpful in funding this project.”
