Mr. Kinsey died, Friday, September 18, at a Temple hospital.
Travis was born on October 27, 1948 to Loretta and LeeRoy Kinsey in Lampasas, Texas.
He grew up in Salado and graduated from Salado High School in 1966. He attended and graduated from The University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 1969. He married Charlotte Evans of Salado on June 1, 1968.
Travis taught and coached in Florence, Texas, for several years, and later at Belton High School. He also taught at TSTC in Waco.
He spent many years in construction as a private contractor, and later as a Construction Superintendent. He helped complete many projects at Texas A&M University and at Oklahoma State University. After helping complete McClane Stadium in Waco, he retired to their family ranch in Moody.
Travis is survived by his wife Charlotte if Moody and two daughters: Stacey Kerr and husband Duane of Waco, and Misty Petree and husband Shawn of Moody; three grandsons, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother Dr. Winston Kinsey. He is survived by an older brother, Dr. Nolan Kinsey of Salado.
Travis was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and team roper. He also enjoyed gathering at his big barn around a fire to visit with family and friends.
