Utley passes away at age 78
Frances Mean Utley was born in Belton, TX on June 8, 1924. She was the daughter of Victor Rather Means and Ola Mae Means. She graduated from Belton High School in 1941 and attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She married Robert Kelley Utley, Jr. on March 15, 1944.
Mrs. Utley was a Realtor in the area for 15 years, serving as president of the Temple-Belton Board of Realtors in 1981. She was organist at the First Presbyterian Church in Belton for 22 years and an Elder in the Church. Most recently, she was co-owner and president of Salado Galleries in Salado for 20 years.
Mrs. Utley’s husband, Kelley Utley, preceded her in death he 1s survived by a on, Robert K. Utley, Ill and wife Ann Utley of Dallas; a daughter, Margaret Ann. Wright and husband Larry Wright of Morgan’s Point; a son, David Utley of Turlock, CA; a sister,. Gloria Means Woodall and husband James Woodall of College Station, a brother, Victor Rather Means, Jr. and wife Peggy Means of Salado; a grandson, Steve Utley and wife Melissa Utley of Dallad; a grandson, Brian Utley and wife Beth Utley of Austin.
A private family graveside service will be held in Belton. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. July 9 at the First Presbyterian Church in Belton. Judy Lijestrand, David Duncan and Thomas Allen will be officiating.
Visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. July 8 at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
