Nathan Morris Wetzel dies March 3
Nathan Morris Wetzel, age 74 of Liberty Hill died March 3, 2001 in Georgetown. He was born May 22, 1926 near Winnsboro, Texas. He married Margot Moore August 14, 1948 in Giddings, TX.
Nathan is survived by his wife Margot of Liberty Hill; his daughter Natha Jean Grigsby and husband Joe of Salado; daughter Ruth Michele Wetzel of Liberty Hill; two grandsons Nathan Aaron Grigsby and Barton Lee Grigsby, of Salado; three sisters, Vonceil Quattlebaum, of Winnsboro; Maxine Gammill, of Sulphur Springs; and Dianne Sansom, of Paris, Texas.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Wetzel; stepfather, Burley Harris; mother, Charlene Harris, daughter, Margot Lynne Rebovich, and grandson, Joe Nathan Rebovich.
Nathan graduated from Sam Houston State Teacher’s College and continued his education at University of Texas, Texas A&M University, and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He taught agriculture in the Lovelady, Liberty Hill and Georgetown public schools. He served on the school board two terms, President of the P. T. A., President of the first Liberty Hill Water Supply Corporation Board.
Services were March 6, at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel m Georgetown with burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
