Ralph M. Whitaker passes away
Ralph M. Whitaker, 86, of Salado, died Feb. 16 at his residence.
Services were held Feb. 19 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Salado.
The body has been donated to science.
He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a manufacturing representative for machinery and tools. He was lifetime member of the Cleveland Engineering Society and a lifetime appraiser for the Federal Bankruptcy Court. In 1971, he moved to Florida where he was founder and president of the Daytona Beach Chapter No. 154 National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. He moved to Salado in 1998. Survivors are his wife, Ilene Young Whitaker of Salado; a sister Mary W. Hill of Salado; a daughter, Rita Burke of Euclid, Ohio; two sons, Donald Whitaker of Concord, Ohio, and Frank Whitaker of Salado, and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
