The first ever Salado Pub Crawl took place over Wildflower weekend on March 21. One hundred handblown glass mugs were purchased by participants who travelled to five different pub locations in Salado and have their cups filled with a different craft beer at each stop. Crawl stops are: Alexander’s Distillery, The Shed, The Range at the Barton House, and the Stagecoach Saloon. All told, there were 200 folks who crawled through Salado for the Pub Crawl.
Another first of its kind, the Edgy Art Show made its debut in Salado on Wildflower Weekend. Local artists competed on the grounds of The Range at the Barton House, creating their own individual works of art that you will vote on. The Edgy Art Show Competition was held March 22. Salado artist Aaron Gist was chosen as the People’ Choice.
This festival is sponsored by the Salado Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Foundation and the Salado Education Foundation.
