The cool fall air set the perfect stage for a great performance on Saturday morning as the Lady Eagles capped off their season with a podium finish at the UIL 4A Girls State Cross Country Championship. Competing against the top programs in Texas, the team’s grit and determination earned them third place in the state, marking a continued history of podium finishes for the Lady Eagles.

Salado Eagles trailed the visiting Gonzales Apaches during the first three quarters of their Oct. 31 game, before tying the game at 21-21 with 11:31 left to play and then going on to score 21 unanswered points for the 42-21 win.
This was the last varsity football game to be played in Eagle Stadium as the new stadium on Williams Rd. will be completed for the 2026 football season.
Lady Eagles are Area Volleyball Champions
For the fourth year in a row, Salado Lady Eagles are heading to the Region III Semi-Finals, after sweeping La Grange 25-18, 25-12 and 25-12.
They will face Bridge City Saturday Nov. 8, 1 p.m. at Madisonville High School in the Region III Semi-Finals. Bridge City is the second place team in 4A Region III District 18, with a record of 34-12.
