Weapons ordinance may prohibit arrows, bolts inside Village
If aldermen adopt the amended Weapons Ordinance at their 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8 meeting, the discharge of arrows and/or bolts will be prohibited within the limits of the Village of Salado.

Salado struggles with deer population
“There is no quick fix. There is no cheap fix. The problem will not go away. The longer you wait, the more expensive it will be.”
Derrick Wolter, a biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife, told a room full of Saladoans this about addressing the problems associated with a growing population of white tail deer in the Village more than a year ago.
Since then, every step taken by the Village to address the population of white tail deer has been met with opposition.
Weapons ordinance draft will add missiles, including arrows, to ban
Salado aldermen will consider amending the Weapons Ordinance to include missiles of any type. The board will consider the amendment to the Weapons Ordinance at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

Bill to buy out administrator contract tops $100,000
Village and Foutz reach agreement on exit
The Village of Salado announced Nov. 14 that it had “reached mutually acceptable terms” with Kim Foutz and had executed an exit agreement with the Village Administrator.
The cost of that exit has exceeded $100,000, almost 10 percent of the total annual budget for the Village.

Trump leads of Sea of Red
Donald Trump won the presidency taking at least five states that Barack Obama won in 2012. Trump flipped Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Iowa.
It is likely he will take more when the final results come in from New Hampshire, Michigan, Arizona and Minnesota.

Historical Society Chili Dinner is November 7
The annual Salado Historical Society chili supper will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Salado Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, located at 217 North Stagecoach Road in Salado. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
