Cheyenne Vaca was named the Most Valuable Player in District 25-4A All-District Volleyball team, leading the Salado Lady Eagles to a 30-8 and 8-2 district record as the second place team behind the Liberty Hill Lady Panthers.
Lady Eagles fall to La Vernia in four sets to end volleyball season
Salado Lady Eagles volleyball season came to an end in Bastrop on Nov. 2 when the girls lost to La Vernia in the first round of the playoffs in a four-set match.
La Vernia won the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-17 before Salado rallied to win the third set 25-17.

Salado finishes in second place in District 25-4A
After a loss on the road to Liberty Hill, Salado Lady Eagles swept the #22 Burnet Lady Bulldogs in a home match Oct. 23 to force a tie for second place in District 25-4A volleyball with the Lady Bulldogs.
Liberty Hill loss drops Lady Eagles into second place
Salado Lady Eagles lost to district foes Liberty Hill on the road Oct. 20 to drop to 6-2 in district and 28-7 on the year.

Ladies sweep Veritas, Groesbeck
Salado is 22-5 on the year going into district play
Salado Lady Eagles handled Veritas Academy in quick fashion, winning in three straight, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-15 last week. The girls also swept the Groesbeck Lady Goats in three sets to improve to 22-5 on the year.
