I-35 Northbound and Southbound Mainlane Closures in Salado (Bell County)

FM 2484 crossing lanes will also be closed to set bridge deck panels 

WACO — On Tuesday, September 24, from 7:00 pm to approximately 1:00 am Wednesday morning, all northbound mainlanes near FM 2484 in Salado will be closed.  Northbound traffic will detour off the freeway at Exit #286 (FM 2484) to the frontage road and reenter the mainlanes just south of Amity Road.  In addition, the northbound-side frontage road will be closed to through traffic and open to local traffic only, between Salado Plaza Drive and FM 2484, during the same hours as the mainlane closure. 

At approximately 11:00 pm Tuesday night until 7:00 am Wednesday morning, all southbound mainlanes near FM 2484 in Salado will also be closed.  Southbound traffic will detour off the freeway at Exit #286 (FM 2484) to the frontage road and reenter the mainlanes at the first on-ramp south of FM 2484.  During the same hours, the southbound-side frontage road will be closed to through traffic (open to local traffic only) between Amity Road and FM 2484.  

FM 2484 will also be closed to traffic crossing over I-35 starting at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening, until 7:00 am Wednesday morning.

These closures will allow the contractor to set deck panels for the new FM 2484 bridge.  All mainlanes, frontage roads and the FM 2484 crossing will be reopened by 7:00 am on Wednesday, September 25. This closure is planned weather permitting. If work is completed early, the lanes will be opened when the work is done.
