Salado Lady Eagles fell in four sets to the Hargrave Lady Falcons in the 4A Region III semi-finals tonight, 25-20, 13-25, 25-19, 25-23 despite leading 17-16 and 22-18 in the third and fourth sets respectively.

The Salado Eagles closed out the regular season at home Nov. 4, but an opportunistic Madisonville Mustangs team spoiled Senior Night with a 30-14 victory.

Albert Joseph Wujcik passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Salado, Texas on November 7th, 2022.
Salado Lady Eagles are going to the Region III Volleyball tournament, where they will face Hargrave in the first match at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at Bryan High School.
Hargrave is 30-13 on the year and winner in District 20-4A, in which they went 9-1. Salado went 9-1 to win District 23-4A and is 32-15 on the year.
If Salado wins the match against Hargrave, they will face the winner of Lago Vista and Spring Hill in the finals at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 at Bryan High School. Spring Hill (33-8, 11-1) won District 17-4A and Lago Vista (23-23, 6-4) is the third place team in District 24-4A.
Salado beat the #9-ranked Burnet Lady Bulldogs on Nov. 8 in four sets at Copperas Cove High School, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-19 to launch themselves into the Regional tournament.
Senior Katey Bartek served an ace for the final point in the Salado Lady Eagles’ four-set win over the Lampasas Badgers in the Bi-District match Nov. 1, 25-19, 27-25, 25-15 and 25-13.
Memorial Services for Dr. Timothy G. Woodcock, 67, of Salado, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Salado, Texas. Dr. Woodcock honorably donated his body to science and will be cremated then returned to the family in the spring. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in the spring.

She was born March 9, 1934, in Temple to Clemens Edward and Ruth Gayle Sagebiel.
Morris Edward (Bo) Wilson, 78, of Salado, TX, passed away on October 19, 2022.
Morris was born on March 8, 1944 in Temple, Texas, to Edward Irvin and Faye Jeanell Conder Wilson.
