Salado Lady Eagles are heading to the UIL 4A Volleyball State Tournament after overcoming a 2-0 deficit to the 40-6 Spring Hill Lady Panthers to win the Region III crown.
Two of their five sets went for extra points, but Salado completely dominated the final two sets for the win.

It’s fitting that senior setter Livia Niu’s third ace of the night was the final point in a three-set sweep of the Huffman Hargrave Lady Falcons, sending the Lady Eagles into the 4A Region III Volleyball finals at noon Sat. Nov. 11. THe Lady Eagles will face Spring Hill, which beat Liberty Hill in the semi-final. Earlier in the week, the senior signed to play volleyball for University of South Florida.
The Lady Eagles swept Hargrave 25-13, 25-18 and 25-18.

Salado Independent School District voters will decide on two proposed Salado ISD bond issues 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 7. Polls will be open at 42 locations throughout Bell County and a Bell County voter can cast their ballots at any of the locations. The Bell County Sheriff’s Department, Criminal Investigation Division, has concluded the criminal investigation related to the below noted incident. Numerous surveillance videos were obtained and reviewed, some of which included audio. Utilizing investigative tools, we were able to synchronize the videos (see included video). Investigators were quickly able to determine there was no sound (gunshot) associated with the “flash of light”.
