Salado Cheerleaders to take part in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Six Salado cheerleaders will participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on Nov. 24, broadcast on NBC or Peacock (streaming) beginning at 8 a.m. CST.
To be invited to perform in the Macy’s Day Parade, the cheerleaders received a Spirit Star Award at the 2022 summer cheer camp held in Irving-Las Colinas conducted by Express Cheer June 9-12.

Judge Blackburn was talking about what he calls “creepy crawlies.” These aren’t the cute teddy bears or the American Eagle or other species that have been saved from extinction.

Lady Eagles fall to Hargrave in Regional Tournament

Salado Lady Eagles fell in four sets to the Hargrave Lady Falcons in the 4A Region III semi-finals tonight, 25-20, 13-25, 25-19, 25-23 despite leading 17-16 and 22-18 in the third and fourth sets respectively.

Albert Joseph Wujcik passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Salado, Texas on November 7th, 2022.
Lady Eagles heading to Region tournament
Salado Lady Eagles are going to the Region III Volleyball tournament, where they will face Hargrave in the first match at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at Bryan High School.
Hargrave is 30-13 on the year and winner in District 20-4A, in which they went 9-1. Salado went 9-1 to win District 23-4A and is 32-15 on the year.
If Salado wins the match against Hargrave, they will face the winner of Lago Vista and Spring Hill in the finals at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 at Bryan High School. Spring Hill (33-8, 11-1) won District 17-4A and Lago Vista (23-23, 6-4) is the third place team in District 24-4A.
Salado beat the #9-ranked Burnet Lady Bulldogs on Nov. 8 in four sets at Copperas Cove High School, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-19 to launch themselves into the Regional tournament.
